Pressure on females
Our female herd is kept to a strict calving period between mid August and early November and if they don’t get pregnant due to their own fault then they leave the breeder herd. Data is provided on all females for their average calving intervals and number of calves each females has had. This data objectively proves all females are kept to our calving period.

Grown to a joining weight, not a finishing weight
All bulls are sensibly prepared backed by a 3 year breeding guarantee. Through winter they are prepared on oats, and leucaena for the rest of the year. This ensures a greater retention rate for purchasers and the ability for bulls to quickly adapt and thrive in their new environments.

Genetics for your requirements
From heifer bulls to terminal sire bulls to high carcase data bulls and all areas in between, we have bulls suited to all these requirements. We have been utilising Breedplan since its conception and we measure all relevant traits. EBVs are estimated and should not be solely used as the only tool to select animals, but by combining visual appraisal, EBVs and pedigree information, more accurate decisions can be made. Gene marker technology has come a long way and will revolutionise the way we select animals but this technology still needs further research and advancement.

From pedigrees to performance data to vaccinations and breeding soundness, we do our very best to assure all customers that their purchases are true and correct. All seedstock animals are registered with their respective breed societies and we have been utilizing Breedplan technology since 1986. By sale time all bulls are ear notched and vaccinated free of Pesti virus and other vaccinations include vibriosis, 3 day sickness (ephemeral fever), leptospirosis and 5 in 1. All sale bulls are backed by a 3 year breeding guarantee (subject to the SGA Guarantee) and to take part in our annual bull sale they must pass a structural soundness and semen and morphology test.
