The Glenoch JK Brangus herd is run with the Angus herd in the relative management groups based on age and sex. All Brangus females are joined from 12-14 months of age with no second chances for non-pregnants if deemed their own fault.

The breeding of the Brangus bulls available range with varying breed contents, and recording is done through the Brangus Association.

Our Brangus bulls are well suited to those wanting a splash of indicus content in their herds, without sacrificing fertility, growth and carcase quality. The challenge for all commercial producers in harsh environments is greater market flexibility and therefore increasing carcase quality without compromising fertility. Our Brangus herd aims to combine the high fertility and carcase quality attributes of the Angus breed with the environmental adaptability attributes of the Brahman breed.

Therefore, by putting pressure on our female herd, selecting for function first and foremost, and utilising high carcase quality genetics from the Angus breed, we are able to provide bulls that are suited to harsh environments and can produce progeny with increased market flexibility.
